Report content or behaviour
Notice and action mechanism for OnMyWay
Version 1.0 — Effective: 7 September 2026
The German-language version is authoritative. This English version and the Ukrainian version are aligned translations.
This page applies to the OnMyWay website and the OnMyWay app. You can use it to report specific content or conduct that you consider illegal or that may violate the OnMyWay Terms of Use or Safety & Community Rules.
1. What this reporting mechanism is for
The reporting mechanism may be used in particular for specific profiles, ride offers, ride requests, requests to carry permitted items, reviews, images, text, messages or other information made available through OnMyWay.
You may report in particular:
- allegedly illegal content, products, services or conduct;
- fraud, deception, identity misuse or attempted circumvention of safety measures;
- threats, harassment, hate speech, discrimination or violence;
- infringements of personality rights, privacy, copyright or other rights;
- dangerous conduct connected with a ride;
- prohibited, dangerous or incorrectly described items;
- violations of the OnMyWay Terms of Use or Safety & Community Rules;
- other content or conduct that may endanger people, animals, property or platform safety.
If you are unsure which category applies, select “Not sure / Other” and describe the circumstances as precisely as possible.
2. Not an emergency channel
This form is not an emergency service and is not continuously monitored in real time. If there is an immediate danger to life, health or safety, contact the local emergency or law-enforcement authorities without delay. In Germany, call the police on 110 and the fire or rescue service on 112.
If you suspect a criminal offence, you should also contact the competent police or public prosecution authority directly. A report to OnMyWay does not replace a criminal complaint or a report to the authorities.
3. Who may submit a report
Any individual or organisation may report specific content that they consider illegal. An OnMyWay account is not required.
Violations of OnMyWay rules may also be reported by affected persons, participants in a ride or an item-carrying arrangement, or other persons who can provide a comprehensible account of the circumstances.
Alternatively, you may send a report by email to contact@onmyway.dev. Use of the structured form is recommended because it makes it easier to provide all information required for review.
4. Information required
To enable OnMyWay to review the report, please provide information that is as precise and complete as possible:
- the type and category of report;
- the exact electronic location or an unambiguous reference, such as a URL, profile, ride, request, booking, review or content ID;
- a comprehensible explanation of why the content or conduct may be illegal or violate OnMyWay rules;
- the date, time and other relevant context, if known;
- available evidence, such as screenshots or documents, provided that sharing it is lawful;
- your name and email address, unless the statutory exception described below applies;
- confirmation that you have a good-faith belief that the information and allegations in the report are accurate and complete.
You do not have to identify a particular legal provision. If you know a relevant provision, you may provide it voluntarily.
Please submit only information required for the review. In particular, do not send copies of identity documents, complete payment information, passwords or health data unless OnMyWay expressly requests them through a secure channel.
5. Exception for certain offences against children
Where information is considered to involve an offence referred to in Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU, the reporting person’s name and email address are not required for a notice under Article 16 DSA.
Without an electronic means of contact, however, OnMyWay cannot send you an acknowledgement, ask follow-up questions or notify you of the decision. In cases of immediate danger or possible criminal conduct, also notify the competent authorities without delay.
6. Review and possible measures
If you provide an electronic means of contact, OnMyWay will acknowledge receipt of the report without undue delay.
OnMyWay processes reports in a timely, diligent, objective, non-discriminatory and non-arbitrary manner. Reports indicating an immediate threat to life or safety are prioritised. OnMyWay may request additional information if a report is not sufficiently specific or substantiated for a proper decision.
Depending on the outcome of the review, possible measures include in particular:
- no action where a violation cannot be established;
- a request for clarification or correction;
- restriction of visibility or removal of content;
- a warning or restriction of particular features;
- temporary suspension or termination of an account;
- preservation of relevant information;
- disclosure to competent authorities where required or permitted by law;
- other proportionate measures to protect individuals and the platform.
Submitting a report does not automatically result in removal of content or a sanction. OnMyWay takes account of the rights and legitimate interests of all affected persons. Final content-moderation decisions are not taken solely by automated means.
7. Notification of the decision
If you have provided electronic contact details, OnMyWay will notify you, without undue delay after completing the review, of its decision regarding the reported information and, where provided for, the available means of redress.
Where content supplied by a user is restricted or an account is restricted because of alleged illegality or a violation of OnMyWay rules, the affected person will, where required by law and where contact details are available, receive a clear and specific statement of reasons and information about available means of redress.
For reasons of data protection, the protection of other persons, the integrity of investigations or legal confidentiality duties, OnMyWay may not be able to provide you with every detail in every case.
8. Challenging a decision
If you disagree with a moderation decision, you may request a further review via Appeal a decision. OnMyWay offers a free internal review of moderation decisions through the electronic appeal form.
Please state the case reference, the decision concerned and why you consider the decision incorrect. Where Article 20 DSA applies, the internal complaint-handling system is available electronically and free of charge for at least six months after notification of the relevant decision.
Statutory possibilities for out-of-court dispute settlement and judicial redress remain unaffected.
9. Protection and confidentiality of the reporting person
OnMyWay treats the identity and contact details of the reporting person confidentially and does not disclose them to the reported person merely because a report has been submitted.
Disclosure may take place where required by law, strictly necessary for fair proceedings, necessary to avert a specific danger, or necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Where provided by law, the reporting person’s identity will be disclosed in a statement of reasons only when strictly necessary.
10. Misuse of the reporting mechanism
Please submit reports only in good faith. The fact that OnMyWay reaches a different legal or factual assessment after review does not by itself make a report abusive.
In the event of frequent and manifestly unfounded reports or complaints, OnMyWay may, after prior warning and taking all relevant circumstances into account, suspend processing for a reasonable period where legally permissible. Knowingly false allegations, manipulated evidence, threats or misuse of the mechanism may result in further measures and, where applicable, legal consequences.
11. Data protection
OnMyWay processes personal data submitted with a report to review the report, communicate with the persons involved, safeguard platform security, comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Further information about the controller, legal bases, recipients, possible transfers, retention periods and your rights is available in the Privacy Policy. Do not upload evidence containing more personal data than is necessary for the review.
12. External bodies
If you suspect criminal content or a specific danger, you may contact the police, public prosecution service or other competent authorities independently of a report to OnMyWay.
If you believe that OnMyWay is not complying with obligations under the Digital Services Act, you may contact the Digital Services Coordinator competent for you. In Germany, the Digital Services Coordinator is located within the Bundesnetzagentur. The Coordinator does not, however, decide in place of OnMyWay whether individual content should be removed or an account restored.

Submit a report
Please describe the specific content or conduct as precisely as possible. Required fields are marked with “*”.
The electronic reporting form stores notices in OnMyWay systems. Manual email follow-up is handled by authorised reviewers. Full production readiness still requires database migrations, Privacy Policy coverage for reports.
